WHO?
In short, I’m a passionate advocate for unscrewing the pressures of motherhood, both from my personal experiences and as a professional in perinatal mental health. I wear two hats: one as an "expert" in therapy and another as a "sufferer" who's been through the ups and downs in their perinatal journey.
🌸That’s me in a nutshell! I would like to know more about YOU. If you wish, you can join the little challenge of trying to introduce yourself similarly - each letter of your name says something about you! At the same time, you are welcomed to do any introduction in the comments as you wish.🌸
WHY “Unscrewing Motherhood”?
Motherhood, to me, is like a tightly sealed jar, filled with expectations, societal pressures, and unspoken struggles. That’s why I’m on a mission to "unscrew" these pressures, turn by turn, revealing the authenticity, vulnerability, and resilience within each of us.
This space was born out of my own postpartum journey, where I struggled with mental health after having my first son. I’m here to share a unique perspective on perinatal mental health—one that blends both personal experiences and professional insights.
WHAT Can You Expect?
This space is a genuine offering, born from both my personal and professional journey with postnatal anxiety, depression, baby loss and birth trauma. It's a perfect match for you if you're seeking:
Insight and Understanding: My posts delve into the emotional complexities of both pregnancy after loss and motherhood, offering a compassionate space for those navigating grief, anxiety, and trauma. I provide practical strategies to manage overwhelming emotions such as fear, guilt, and the constant "what ifs" that often accompany pregnancy after loss, while also addressing broader struggles like feelings of "not good enoughness," perfectionism, and the identity shifts of motherhood. These insights are rooted in my personal experiences and supported by evidence-based therapeutic practices, including CBT, CFT, and ACT therapy approaches.
Practical Tips and Strategies: Whether you're currently pregnant after loss or adjusting to life as a mother, I offer actionable advice to help you cope with this transformative period. My content includes techniques to manage pregnancy-related anxiety, stress, and grief, as well as tips for fostering emotional resilience and nurturing the bond with your baby during pregnancy and beyond.

Hi Aleks! Excited to get to know you more and I fully relate to your desire to unscrew motherhood… something I quickly realized when I became a mom 3.5 years ago is that nobody cares what you do before you have children and everyone tried to put their nose in your business ones you do! xx
